Product condition and authenticity

Updated October 4, 2026.

What the listing offers

Read the full description, condition, selected option, and saleable package quantity. A price may cover one item, a set, an assorted lot, a bundle, or a case. Catalog photographs may be representative when identified as such; they do not promise the exact pictured item unless the listing says it is the item offered. Ask us to clarify a material detail before payment.

Representative photographs and individual character

For listings with representative photographs, you will receive an item similar to the photograph, rather than the exact item pictured. The photo helps show the type, design, and general appearance of the product. It is not a promise of identical surface marks, color, toning, centering, or wear. An exact-photo sale must be expressly identified in the listing.

Older coins and collectibles often show the effects of use and age. Two examples of the same type can differ in the strength of their design, surface texture, edge wear, patina, and legibility. These variations do not authorize us to send a different product type, a lower stated grade, an incorrect quantity, or an item materially inconsistent with the description.

How to choose your condition and quantity

Use the selected option, written description, and stated grade together. A photograph alone does not establish an item's grade, metal content, date, or certification. If a date, mint mark, readable inscription, or particular appearance is essential to your purchase, ask SalarsNet before paying. We will clarify what can be confirmed; we will not treat an unanswered request as agreement to a special selection.

Check whether the price is for one coin, a set, or a lot. Changing the quantity may change how many saleable packages you receive. Assorted lots can contain varying examples within their stated scope; a particular distribution, matching appearance, or absence of duplicates is promised only when the listing expressly says so.

Descriptive grades and certified holders

A descriptive grade summarizes condition and is not independent certification. When a listing names a grading service, the stated certification applies to the selected offer. A representative holder photograph does not promise the pictured certificate number. Do not assume that a raw coin, an assorted lot, or an illustrated example includes a certified holder.

Inspecting your purchase

Compare the delivered item with your confirmed option and description. Handle coins by their edges where practical and leave sealed holders intact. If you believe the item is damaged, incorrect, or materially misdescribed, retain the packaging and contact SalarsNet with clear photographs and your order number. We will review the concern under the returns and refunds policy. Ordinary disclosed variation does not remove your applicable rights or our responsibility for an accurate description.

Coins, currency, and precious metals

Dates, mint marks, denominations, metal content, and grades are claimed only as described for the selected item. Assorted lots may vary within the stated description. A raw or descriptive grade is not the same as certification by a grading service. For certified items, review the named service, grade, holder, and whether the photograph shows the exact item or a representative example. Certification does not guarantee future resale value. We do not promise investment returns or that every collectible will appreciate.

If authenticity, metal content, or a stated certification appears inconsistent with what arrived, stop handling the item and contact us with the order number, photographs, and the reason for concern. Do not clean it, alter it, open a sealed holder, or use destructive testing while we review the issue. An item that is materially different from its description is handled under our returns and refunds policy.

Books and collectible publications

Edition, format, language, binding, completeness, signatures, and condition are those stated in the listing. Used books can have disclosed wear or markings. A signature or historical attribution is not independently authenticated unless the listing expressly describes the evidence. Publication dates and dated annual content should be checked before purchase.

Storage, display, and collecting supplies

Check interior dimensions, thickness, capacity, compatibility, and pack count. Similar product names do not ensure the same fit. Claims such as archival quality, material composition, or acid-free construction apply only where stated for that item; they are not blanket guarantees for all supplies. Contact us before opening packs if the fit or specifications are unclear.

Clothing, footwear, outdoor goods, and equipment

Check size charts, materials, intended use, included accessories, and model specifications. Surplus or used goods may differ from new retail products; rely on the listed condition. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety requirements. We do not represent equipment as certified protective gear or suitable for a particular hazardous activity unless the listing expressly supports that claim.

Warranties and problems

Any manufacturer warranty is the warranty stated for the specific item, with its own eligibility and claim requirements. No universal manufacturer warranty applies to every product. A warranty is separate from our responsibility to address damaged, incorrect, or misdescribed goods and does not replace applicable consumer rights. Contact SalarsNet for help; you do not need to identify the fulfillment source yourself.
